Company foundation

Hugo Beck sets up his own company - a mechanical workshop for lathe/milling parts.

1962

First film packaging machines and customised machine solutions

Hugo Beck is the first company on the Dettingen industrial estate to build the first production hall.

 

Complete production of lathe/milling parts and manufacturing of customized machines begins.

 

First production programme of film packaging machines.

First series machine

SPF 25 compact shrink packaging machines are the first series machines to conquer the bakery sector.

1969

First trade show interpack

Hugo Beck attends industry trade show interpack for the first time and makes a decisive move to enter the packaging industry

 

L-sealers, shrink tunnels and compact shrink packaging machines are being produced in series.

1976

First horizontal poly bag machine on the market

Development and construction of the first automated horizontal poly bag machines making Hugo Beck's first participation at the trade show FachPack a success.

1980

First bundle packing machines

Market launch of banderoling/bundle packing machines.

1984

New administration building

Constrution of a new administration building with a total of 60 employees.

New demo center

A new demo center allows customer visits from all over the world on site.

1989

First paper packaging machines

Construction of the first paper packaging machines from Hugo Beck.

1990

Worldwide distribution of film packaging machines

A complete production programme of film packaging systems is distributed worldwide. The export rate rises to 50 %.

 

An additional new hall construction becomes necessary when 80 employees are reached.

1996

Technology leader

Hugo Beck introduces servo drive technology and develops a complete new product family of film packaging machines making the company a technology leader in this sector.

 

To date, more than 10,000 servo axes have been successfully installed in machines.

Hugo Beck builds the world’s fastest phone card packaging machine.

2004

First inserting machines

Construction of the first inserting machines for post-print processing.

2006

Building extension

The production area is extended to 7.700 m2  for the more than 100 employees in Dettingen/Erms.

Top 100

For the first time, Hugo Beck makes it into the Top 100 of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

2008

Extension demo center

The demo center is extended to a total area of over 500 m², enabling even more customer visits from all over the world.

Series production of the new machine generation flexo X.

Hugo Beck extends its product portfolio in the film packaging sector with flowpack machines

2016

Top 100

For the third time, Hugo Beck makes it into the Top 100 of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

2019

New machine generation for paper packaging

At FachPack 2019, Hugo Beck presents a new generation of flexible form, fill and seal machines for the production of film and paper packaging on just one machine.

2020

New packaging style for paper bags

Market launch of the paper E-Com flex paper packaging machine which features an integrated PFAFF sewing machine unit for the first time. The paper bags with two sewn sides are thus completely new on the market and particularly suitable for the e-commerce and mail order sectors.
